About Uasin Gishu Peace Forum

Uasin Gishu Peace Forum (UGPF) is a Peace Initiative by Uasin Gishu (UG) people who are passionate about the Peace of their County.

UGPF dream is to see a Transformed, Stable and Cohesive County through Peace Engagements thereby creating a Culture of Tolerance and Ethnic Interrelation.

We advocate peace in UG through peace campaigns in the hope that this will turn round the negative energy emerging from strong political grounds. We develop activities that cause ownership of the County thereby safeguarding peace at all times, especially during elections.

UGPF constantly develops programs that bring out pride in the diverse backgrounds and political opinions providing a platform that enables the people to see the dazzling side of a multi-ethnic County in a thriving city, Eldoret.

Our aspirations, in Uasin Gishu Peace Forum, is to eliminate practices of violent, divisive politics and ethnic discrimination by partnering with experts in conflict resolutions; including churches and community leaders for immediate curative solutions whenever peace is susceptible at all levels.

We are committed to Peace through influential patriotism to the Country and County by enhancing teamwork in actions and words that advance peace; we equip and train others to serve: clinging to the dream of making Uasin Gishu the yardstick of peace in Kenya.

OUR OBJECTIVES.

  5. To eliminate practices of violent, divisive politics and ethnic discrimination.
  6. To partner with experts in conflict resolutions including churches and community leaders for immediate solutions whenever peace is threatened at all levels.
